Open call - Workshop: Beading our stories
New Culture Studio and IFRA-Nigeria invite artisans, storytellers, researchers, and creatives to participate in “Beading Our Stories,” a unique exploration of beadwork as a medium for identity, cultural preservation, and social transformation. This initiative will feature a series of events, including symposiums, workshops, exhibitions, and film screenings, all centered around the rich heritage of beadmaking and its evolving role in contemporary society.
This event is part of IFRA-Nigeria's Nigerian Alternative Heritages, a project made possible by the French Embassy Fund (FEF).

- Anyone passionate about the intersection of craft, identity, and social change

- A short statement on why you would like to be a part of the workshop.
- An artist CV.
- Images of related works.
Applicants must reside in Ibadan or be able to travel and have accommodation arrangements in Ibadan for the duration of the event.
Deadline for submission: 29/03/2025
Selection will be finalized by March 31st, and the workshop will commence in April.
