Become an IFRA-Nigeria associate

 

Who is eligible? 

To become a research associate you must: 

  • Be a PhD student or a PhD holder
  • Work in the social sciences or humanities
  • Focus on one or more of the countries in IFRA-Nigeria's geographical focus
  • Participate in IFRA-Nigeria activities 

No criteria of nationality applies. 

 

What does being a research associate mean?

Becoming one of our associates is a two-year renewable contract, which engages you to actively participate in (or organize) IFRA-Nigeria's activities and actively contribute to our publications. In exchange, IFRA-Nigeria will publicize your papers and academic activities related to our project, and you will be part of the broader IFRA-Nigeria team. 

Being an IFRA-Nigeria associate is NOT a paid position, nor does it give you access to special funding.

How can you apply? 

If you are eligible and are certain your work can fit into IFRA-Nigeria's priorities, you can apply to become a research associate. To complete your application, you must provide the following materials in a single PDF file

- A CV (two pages maximum)

- A motivation letter (one page) describing your reasons for wanting to join our associate team, and highlighting your relevant experience. 

- A short project (one page) describing how you intend to participate in IFRA-Nigeria's activities, and how you can contribute to our research areas. 

We accept applications in French and English.
