What is the workshop about?

In social sciences and humanities, many researchers tend to stick with what they have been taught and what they know best, depending on their discipline, this is either qualitative and quantitative methods. However, there are plenty of possiblities to explore to combine those two school of thoughts and combine quantitative and qualitative methods in a relevant manner.

Based on Prof Marc Antoine Pérouse de Montclos' experience, this workshop aims at introducing key practices in using quantitative and qualitative methods and showcase how to best combine them. It is directed at PhD or master’s students who are yet to finish their fieldwork.
