Next Thursday, IFRA Nigeria is very pleased to organise jointly with the Institute of African Studies of the University of Ibadan a public lecture entitled "Global science - local technology: Archaeology of glass production in Ile-Ife, Nigeria (ca. 1000 – 1500 AD)" given by Dr. Abidemi Babatunde Babalola.

Dr. Babalola is the current McMillan-Stewart Fellow at the W.E.B Du Bois Institute, Hutchins Center for African & African American Research, Harvard University. He has conducted extensive archeological investigations in the region of Ile-Ife, with an emphasis on ancient glass production.

Dr.Kola Adekola (Department of Anthropology and Archeology) will be our discussant.

The lecture will take place in Draper's Hall, Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan next Thursday, 26th of January (2-4pm). All are welcome.
