In the framework of the IAS/IFRA-Nigeria Field Report Seminar Series, we receive Ms. Marie-Luce Desgrandchamps, Ph.D. Candidate from the Department of Hstory, University of Genova, Switzerland who will give a talk on the following topic: Writing the history of European humanitarian organizations through their involvement during the Nigerian Civil War, 1967-1970.

Marie-Luce Desgrandchamps graduated from the Institut des Hautes Etudes Internationales et du Développement and from the University of Geneva before earning her Masters in History of International Relations from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (I.E.P.) of Paris. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate with the University of Geneva and the University of Paris-I. She conducts research on Humanitarian Relief during the Biafra Crisis, 1967-1970. She is currently an Assistant-Lecturer with the Department of History, University of Geneva.
