Dr Molatokunbo Olutayo is the Acting – Director of the Institute of African Studies (IAS), University of Ibadan. The Institute hosts the office of the IFRA- Nigeria, and collaborate day to day with IFRA-Nigeria.
Dr Olutayo is a graduate B. SC. Hons, 1987; M.SC., 1991; and PH.D, 2002 in Political Science from the University of Ibadan respectively. Dr. Olutayo is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan. She currently teaches in and coordinates the Gender Studies programme of the Institute. She has been the Sub dean of the Institute (2020 - 2022)
Dr. Olutayo’s research and teaching interest surrounds gender and development studies, research methodology and political economy. Having undertaken various researches, her work speaks to transformation in contemporary gender discourse. She has published in reputable journals including African Notes, Comparative Sociology,Journal of Sociology, Social Science and Humanities Open, Elsevier Journals and African Development, and has been involved in advocating for women's career advancement in higher education institutions through the Women Advancement Forum; International Exchanges, Research and Academia (WAFIRA) programmes since 2014. She is also a Facilitator in in the Pedagogical Leadership in Africa (PedaL), Nairobi, Kenya
