Digitization Training Programme 25-29 October

202110ArchivesTrainingGroupAs part of the NaijaArchives project, which aims at improving the accessibility of Nigerian archives, and thanks to the funding of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Camille Tatger, a historian and archivist currently working for the French Ministry of Ecology came to provide a digitization training to staff members of various Nigerian Archives centres (Zaria, Kaduna, Enugu, Ibadan). The training took place from October 25th to October 29th in IFRA, University of Ibadan.

202111CovidConfPapersFew weeks after the outbreak of Covid-19, IFRA-Nigeria launched a research project on the impacts of the pandemics in Nigeria. The project had three successive phases in the course of 18 months and was funded by IFRA and the French Embassy in Nigeria. To celebrate its closure and disseminate its findings, IFRA-Nigeria organised a conference followed by a film screening to present the research outputs on Wednesday 10th of November from 4pm to 6pm in University of Ibadan.

Bastien Miraucourt, managing editor for the French National Research Council (CNRS) at LAM-Bordeaux was hosted for two weeks by IFRA-Nigeria at the beginning of July. We worked with him on our different Digital Humanities projects. He helped us find the best ways to disseminate to a wider audience the research produced by our colleagues.
